George A. Spratt's 1959 model 106 (c/n 1) 'Controlwing'-type light flying boat powered by a modified 60 hp Mercury outboard motor (although Flightaware claims a 100 hp Continental 0-200 series HO4 was used).

The Spratt 106 was originally registered N910Z. It became N3915A once owned by the Seaflight Corporation. Seaflight was based near Philidelphia - either in Newtown Square or Paoli ... depending upon the source.

"Aerofiles" website mentions:
Controlwing 1939 = 2pOhwMFb; 65hp Lycoming pusher. Further development of Spratt's controllable-wing theory (SEE Bendix Controlwing) with wing mounted over a twin-tailed, boat-shaped fuselage (it was licensed as a boat!). Engine mounted in the bow, driving prop by a long shaft. 1947 version had 65hp Continental mounted aft of cockpit [N3915A]. Spratt's project continued well into the 1970s with several successful flying boats. Plans marketed to home-builders; 80 sets sold by 1982.

Controlwing 105 1973 = 2pChwM; 60ci Mercury marine engine; span: 22'0" length 12'6". Landplane version of 107. [N49888]. Spratt's continuance of design numbers from his days at Convair sometimes lead to confusion of this plane with Convair-Stinson 106 Skycoach.

Controlwing 106 1964 = 2pOhwMFb. POP: 1 [N910Z].

Controlwing 107 c.1975 = 2pOhwMFb; modified 80hp Mercury marine engine; span: 24'0" length: 17'0" load: 500#.

Both HX-1 and HXT-2 are military designs, not light aircraft. The only civilian/General Aviation designs from Hamilton AeroSpace that I am aware of are the pusher-prop HX-321 and light twin-jet HX-322.

As for an 'HX-II', there was a Hamilton AeroSpace HX-11 ... but, again that was a military aircraft project. Hamilton AeroSpace
designations are a complete jumble. However, the only Roman numeral designation is the A-II Avenger (no 'H'), another CAS design. (If time permits later today, I'll knock together a Hamilton AeroSpace designation list.)*
