Someone I know a little who has worked for years in IT says the developments in AI/chatbots terrify him, especially the fact that how or why it may say or do something is completely opaque to the person looking in from outside.

i was always aware of the dangers that AI systems could produce. its been often portrayed in books/comics/movies etc.
i'm curious as to why they gave us these AI platforms for free..... at this point its accelerating beyond stopping.

This fellow reminds me of Einstein, as after he heard about the use of the atomic bomb Einstein said he wished he had been a locksmith.
