1938 Leduc Thermopropulse powered Stratospheric Aircraft

"thermopropulser" in the title doesn't mean anything.
It should be
- "thermopropulsé" (passive)
- "thermopropulseur" (name, propulseur = engine)
- or "thermopropulsive (adjective, applied to "tuyère" "nozzle" = tuyère thermopropulsive".

Hallo!: When mr Leduc knew that before him, Lorin had designed RamJets, he look for Lorin, just to know he died a bit before.
The German Lorin research lead to development of a fighter: Skoda Kauba.

The drawing for an Heinkel fighter here reminds the wing and tail arrangement of Polikarpov I-16, known by its extreme maneuverability.
RamJets start working at 300 km/ h airspeed, to reach it, a late time Argus-104 pulsejet can do the job, also provide the required power for safe landing.
Ramjets are silent.
X-15 tested successfully a RamJet at Mach 6.5.
Body was nearly carbonized from heat coming from rubbing with air.

In my opinion for this model, Heinkel did not innovate, it is a Stipa.
I'd say otherwise. Even if look is similar, Stipa had an ICE driving a propeller inside a duct. I wonder why the duct has a bit of wing airfoil like shape.
If you do this, perhaps it would be good profiling only the lower half of duct, in order of getting some lift.
Junkers and Caproni-Campini attempted the motored turbine, but Leduc designs were pure RamJets.
The latest developments, as the 'Trident', failed from lacking an alloy adapted to heat generated by speed.
The US X-20 Dyna Soar was to be made of Inconel. Cancelled by R McNamara when over 80 % of work and expenses were concluded.
