Same Mirages but I believe had RAAF had AIM-9G as their armament so I think it was a bit more of a fair fight.With the RAAF Mirages was it an apples and apples comparison, or was it at much shorter range where the RAAF could use the small 'supersonic' drop tanks and liberal use of the afterburner?
Air combat is a never ending list of variables, which is why it's so interesting.
Combined with the extensive Dissimilar Air Combat Training (DACT) that British pilots had undergone, an Argentine Mirage starting with full fuel tanks over Stanley would still have been flying an aircraft ill-suited for low-level turning fights, armed with inferior missiles, against better-prepared adversaries.
