That would make sense and could stand as one of the most coveted aftermarket offer once deemed redundant by the JASDF. (think that numerous countries granted access to the F-35, and there is plenty out there, might want to up their fleet number with an airframe, larger than their 16, with lower sustainment cost* than an F-15EX but at a parity level in term of radar and EWS without the complication of stealth - exactly where the M2K should stand today).

*to be assessed
Assuming pobit to be an F-15ex equal in terms of radar is a bit of an overstatement...
But it tells a thing or two about J/APG-1 even after the upgrades.

Since Sabr is scalable it’s worth noting the difference in antenna size.
is that the comparison between curren JPG-1 and APG-83?, look like it is only 1-2 row bigger?
BTW, do we know whether F-2 have any sort of RAM treatment like USA or Denmark F-16?

Jane’s gave the antenna size as 610mmx720mm in the 90s while the recent demonstrator radar was a bit larger. (See last post)

It does have RAM, the DoD planned an assessment of Japanese RAM in May 1995

Do you also have any data about dimension of APG-80 or APG-83? Or maybe APG-79?. I heard F-2 radar is supposed to be the same size as F-18E/F but not entirely sure
