It is the lack of investment in the UK military in recent years that is annoying right from the David Cameron austerity years where the military was cut to shreds that never helped the current situation.

That is my dream too vikmto999, Tempest for the Red Arrows? Imagine the sales possibilities with that painted red. Look at what happened to the sales of the Hawk once the Reds got theirs.

The RAF is being forced to replace them a decade earlier than planned because BAES and RR have failed to deliver a supportable aircraft with continued airworthiness as they have been paid handsomely to do so...But sure let's blame lack of government investment.

Funding is but one aspect of this and other debacles. Thinking that "We have plenty of time to faff about with", imho, always leads to, "Bugger, we have to buy 'ANYTHING' off the shelf and right now".
