Legendary special effects artist Brian Johnson has died
He start to work for Gerry Anderson productions Stingray, Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, UFO and Space: 1999.
work for Stanley Kubrick 2001: A Space Odyssey
He build the Nostromo for Alien
worked for SW: The Empire Strike back
and the Shuttle for movie Outland

his most iconic work is the Eagle for Space: 1999 and Nostromo from Alien

Wait - so all those iconic (god I hate this word so much) spaceships, bolded, had the same "father" ? I never knew.

Between that and the Trumbull, father and son... it was kinda "spacecraft mafia".
