This article comes from the 17th issue of 'Future Life' which is dated March 1980 and discusses some upcoming films. One of which 'Voyage of the Berg' was clearly never made. However were did the writer get the idea that 'The Final Countdown' would involve a submarine?

I've found a couple of sites hosting movie scripts.

The Internet Movie Script Database

https://imsdb.com/

Simply Scripts

https://www.simplyscripts.com/

Neither of these had copies of either the draft or complete script for 'The Final Countdown' however Simply Scripts did mention a further site called 'Script Fly' which offered an incomplete version of the script described as "FINAL COUNTDOWN, THE [miss pgs 21,33, 43,46][Ambrose-Davis, Undated]" for sale.

I miss the magazines of the early 80's

There was an ad (Starlog?) for a ship blueprints in the classifieds. ( S.S. DARK VIKING) and I can't find that anywhere now...

I went through a few...It may not have been Starlog....my google-fu is weak
