UAP explanation: US anti gravity secret project?

What's your point? They were seen by Allied pilots, but to this day, nothing credible has been said. Nothing.
Oh I don’t really have a point per se. Was just enjoying the Foo Fighter's mention, I had never heard that before. Not being sarcastic at all, just like that reference! Only wanted to share my thoughts with Scott Kenny merely to engage in fun conversation and share how the topic of sustained low-thrust acceleration reminds me of a great book. And hoped to further share my overactive imagination to your comment while also agreeing with such tech would remain classified. No point being made, just engaging on a topic that reminded me of a book...

I remember seeing something on Tomorrow's World about 35 years ago regarding Quantum Vacuum Energy. The same episode showed a guy pumping water into one end of a pipe with an ultrasonic emitter that caused steam to come out the other end. There were some other "discoveries" that promised clean, cheap energy for the future. Unsurprisingly, none of them are in the mainstream.....

Seems to be also covered in this one:

The universe wants us isolated it seems...it doesn't even want us to have a bloody SSTO that can work with Earth's gravity.

After taking a moment to un-spin my wits...

IMHO, the infamous 'Foo Fighters' were 'Radio Sondes' minus radio, just a flare.
Such would be used to establish cross-winds at various altitudes, corrections sent to the AAA.

( Similarly, the infamous 'Dancing Bell' was probably a prototype Calutron... )

The Alcubierre 'loophole' for FTL, if 'real', would seem to require several types of 'exotic' material. Exasperated, I side-stepped such for my 'Convention' Sci-Fi tales by invoking a 'Double Bubble', where ship rides within 'Limaçon of Pascal'. To the consternation of 'neighbours', who've done it the 'Hard Way', requiring oodles of 'Unobtanium', 'Exotinum', 'NIMBY' anti-matter etc etc...

I've been watching for updates on 'Tele-Parallel Gravity', but the subject seems to have subsided into a couple of incomplete, contrary approaches. Enough arcane math to can as 'Alphabet Soup' for famine relief, progress non-existent...
But, and it is a seriously scary 'BUT', the proposed, so-elegant 'Handed Twistors' relation between EM and 'Gravity' means some-one may yet stumble across a 'real-neat' physical implementation. Hopefully, will come sooner than the multiple millennia between 'Baghdad Battery', apparently used to accelerate electro-chemical leaching of low-carat gold, as Andean cultures did with acid springs, and Faraday...

All of these are popularized possibilities that are not what people think they are. Due to understandable lack of understanding of the matter not many can discern the true nature of these cases.
My two cents with my imited understanding:

Zero point energy is basically the energy difference of quantum state. People applied thermodynamic-like situation and assume it would be possible to get energy out of it if an "energy exchange" can be exploited. The assumption is not possible, though. *shrugs*
But the universe does have an infinite energy "source" we just have no clue how it works. Throughout the universe the space has a constant "energy density". You can calcualte the total energy the universe contains by measuring its volume. Now, here's the thing the universe is expanding now as well as during the inflation. This is a uniquness of space it "creates" itself the total sum of energy of the universe keeps increasing.

Antigravity: again people are connecting two different cases due to similar results as above.
1. magnetic based antigravity: this is an effect due to induced magnetism by a strong source combined with rotation.
I won't trouble myself anymore so take a look at these YT video showing real world handson experiment by ordinary guy
2. mass based antigravity:
Now this is real based on Kerr metric and black holes except it is not true antigravity but more akind to magnetism with attaction and repeling phenomenon. As a mass rotates faster it tangles up gravitational lines resulting in this phenonmenon. But apparently you need realitivistic rotation at 3^1/2 c.
Exact Relativistic 'Antigravity' Propulsion

So something like a Blitzar? Interesting idea since you can actually make a black hole by concentrating a large amout of energy on a small point. How you make it magnetised and spin rapidly though is another matter

I think it can be any object....from Gemini-bot
  • "Antigravity" Beam: The repulsive gravity is described as a "beam" or cone that extends ahead of a massive body, such as a compact star or black hole, moving at high velocity.

Particularly noteworthy in the new exact solutions is that above a critical velocity any mass, no matter how light or howdistant, produces an ‘antigravity’ field. Though at least twice as strong in the forward direction of motion, the ‘antigravity’ field even repels particles in the backward direction. This means that a stationary mass will repel masses that are radially receding from it at speeds greater than 1/ 2 3 c!, with obvious cosmological implications....The forward ‘antigravity’ field of a suitably heavy and fast mass might be used to propel a payload from rest to relativistic speeds.

Some other papers from F.S. Felber
https://arxiv.org/pdf/gr-qc/0604076https://www.academia.edu/106214220/Antigravity_Propulsion_and_Relativistic_Hyperdrive
A distillation:
Felber's research shows that any mass moving faster than 57.7 percent of the speed of light will gravitationally repel other masses lying within a narrow 'antigravity beam' in front of it. The closer a mass gets to the speed of light, the stronger its 'antigravity beam' becomes.

The most massive object that I know of is Gliese 710---but that isn't fast enough.

Maybe this?

The goal would be for a massive, fast moving object to pass near enough so we could put a spacecraft ahead of its path---like a dolphin ahead of a ship's bow or something.
