Sure. The breech is still the back end of the tube. In this case, there's a retractable firing pin and a trigger to fire the mortar in direct-fire/trigger-fired mode. (And I hope some sort of retention mechanism so the bomb wouldn't slide forward in direct-fire use.) You can see it being muzzle loaded in these images.
