If we put radar seeker on hypersonic weapon, is it possible to use them against aircraft?

The faster you travel the apparently more static appears a drastically slower target.
A bullet doesn't need any staring to catch its target. Same thing for an Hypersonic vehicles. The faster it goes the less escape time for the target, the less offset travel (hard brake, turn), the more reduced need on proximity fuse and terminal manoevring. The more likely to get a kill.

See the Hypersonic weapon as a slow laser.

Good point
I think there is no issue in using a scramjet missile in air to air role, but I am curius about boost glider so I did some maths
Hypersonic missile are very hot, so I assume detect them with IRST from 400 km is plausible
A hypersonic glider at Mach 20 can fly 400 km in 59 second, in the same amount of time, an aircraft at Mach 1.2 can move 24 km from the origional position.
Do we have the turn rate of any hypersonic glider?

What if the aircraft maneuvers to avoid the missile? The missile would have a large turn radius to re-intercept and burn a lot of fuel. There's also the thought of air friction on the internal components when performing maneuvers, things get really hot when they travel hypersonic.

Boost glider have no fuel to burn, it decelerate gradually

So one opportunity to engage the target? Sounds like an awfully expensive interceptor.
All current long range surface to air missile and air to air missile are like that except ramjet missile like Meteor, you only have once chance to hit the target, if you miss then you miss, there is no re engage like in movie

My mind is completely blown, too. gimme a break: they wanted to kill Tu-22Ms or Tu-160s from ABOVE, with a BALLISTIC MISSILE ??

Yes, and the re entry vehicle for that program later served as the basis for the Army AHW.

Imagine, if they had had such weapons in Red Storm Rising... would have saved Foch, Saipan, and also avoided the crippling of Nimitz.

Dance of vampires ? take that (ballistic) spike, you Backfire...
