Hi! Gasuden
KR-1.
In 1932, Gasden began developing a small passenger aircraft equipped with its own engine, Kamikaze. This airplane was designed based on De Havilland DH.83 Fox Moss, which was imported from the United Kingdom, centered on Lt. Col. Seiichi Yamashita.
The first prototype made its first flight on February 23, 1933.
Three aircraft were used by the Japan Air Transport Research Institute (J-BBJI, J-BBMI, J-BBNI) as regular flights and air taxis, two aircraft were used by the Taiwan National Defense Association, and two aircraft were used by the Manchuria National Seaside Police Corps.
This aircraft was a biplane with wooden fabric body that inherited that of
DH.83, and had a small cabin inside the fuselage. The landing gear could be replaced with a fixed gear and twin floats, and could be used as a seaplane, but the seaworthiness was poor.
