An as-yet undocumented AERALT Type 4 was tested at ONERA in wind-tunnel form in 1930.
Despite my efforts, still no information can be found on that mysterious "A.E.R.A.L.T." company, located at 3-5 rue Ferrus in Paris.
That address is normally found (in the pre-war era at least) for Fours Électriques Ripoche. Maurice Ripoche was an engineer who provided electric ovens for industrial firms. Even by trying different interpretations of the acronym nothing comes up in any of the searches I've made... By trying to associate the final two letters with existing aircraft makers, I could only find Lucien Tiélès. So my (wild) guess would be something like "Ateliers d'Études et de Réalisations Aéronautiques Lucien Tiélès", but of course I have no evidence whatsoever that Tiélès was involved with either that company or that design, or was even in aviation at all at that time. That being said, it fits nicely that he started his postwar Boisavia designs at "B.50" (so, Type 5) since the unbuilt "AERALT" designs were Types 3 and 4...
