British Aerospace 'P.125'

P.125 is the project posted by user Zebedee last year in the FOAS topic. Must be safe to talk about it now ;)

Don't seem to sell single issues though. Magazine is still available in WH Smiths etc here in the UK.

Yes, was supposed to use some kind of synthetic display.
Two advantages listed in the short write up in AWST- improved stealth characteristics and protected the pilot from what was thought to be the threat from blinding from Soviet laser weapons.

Vectored rear nozzle, 2 cold nozzles on the fuselage sides near the CoG and a front nozzle fed by the pipe visible above the engine.

Are the 2 cold cold nozzles are fed by the engine fan?

Is the front nozzle hot?

Is these any drawings?

How would this design have related to REPLICA operationally?

The design is from the 1990s, so it predates Replica.

My earlier post on the nozzles is incorrect, it had a rear exhaust for conventional flight, and 2 rear nozzles (hot) plus one front (cold) for vertical flight.

Thanks GTX, fan art or something from BAES? I think there is more info on the P.125 in a FOAS thread. IIRC it had a MD/NG/BAe JSF style rear nozzle and a RULS (remote unaugmented lift system) forward.

Not sure about the rotating nozzle... there was a photo of the full size mock up printed in Air Pictorial a couple of years ago that showed a pair of concealed vectoring nozzles in front of the horizontal stabilisers...

The model in my earlier photo is still extant and on display in the Warton Heritage Centre...

Very nice art. It is fascinating to see the design from more than one angle! Thank you.

Fan Art I believe.

It also looks like they didn't need the U.S. to develop a stealth aircraft.

I found this picture from another forum, it shows a bit of the internal layout.

No, it's actually from a Ace Combat-inspired game called Vector Thrust, abandoned around 2016 and probably replaced by Project Wingman

Dredging this one up. are there any 3-views available of this? Or any decent information so I could model one in CAD?
