"Westland Multi-role Fleet Helicopter circa 1978 so before my time. An eccentric tailboom made sense in this project (is there anything that is not eccentric with helicopters?). From the WG projects file. We made small scale scans of the big original drawings before they were disposed of (an unpopular edict from above), and I don't think the reports survived. Later (in the 1990s) I returned to the eccentric back end for a rather stealthy project (which was so stealthy that any drawings unsurprisingly seem to have vanished)."

Not sure...will have to delve. Most probably a quickish scheme to show the size/power/weight/cost savings for getting rid of the pilot bit.

It’s the Wisp. The Wideeye has a significantly different body. Also the rotor-mast is a dead give-away.

The remotely piloted helicopters were Mote, WR.06 Wisp, WR.07 and WR.08 Wideye, WR.10 Phoenix air vehicle. WG.57 was a later unmanned tiltrotor project in the main project office series. Chapter 14 pp.165 to 175 of the JP Graham / RV Smith book on Westland Projects discusses this in detail.
