Tremulis helicopter of 1944

As Hesham may well know, Alex Tremulis was a prominent automobile designer/stylist, who, after his wartime stint dreaming up futuristic air machines at Wright Field, went on to design such memorable cars as the Tucker Torpedo and the Ford Seattle-ite.
 
It may well have been meant just as a design exercise, to visualise the then current thinking
of having a helicopter in the garage, instead of a car. The rotor disk area is much too small
and it's hard to imagine, how the engine and transmission should fit into this vehicle.
