Mason's book on wartime testing was a grave disappoinment as the reports were not reproduced in any substantial length. Most of the photos were useless padding (=because handling characteristics or performance data cannot be described with pics) as were the profiles (=ditto). The old book by Brian Johnson and Terry Heffernan is much better.
