Well down indeed !
may I ask, how long it takes you to make such a model ?

Thanks.

It depends from a number of factors. With good 3 views and other references, like dimensions and pre-existing textures for the camo of the aircraft (and a massive lack of sleep...), 4 or 5 hours can be enough to make a low quality model like the ones i posted above.

The more complex the shapes involved, or the more accurate someone wants to get, the more time it will require to model something resembling the real aircraft though.

Thank you. For such times certainly quite a lot of experience and proficiency is needed.
Background to my question is, that I'm looking for a CAD software, that I would use
mainly for the reconstruction of 3-views. My experience is really very limited, but with
the one, I'm still using, I'm becoming more and more unsatisfied.

Honestly it took me at least three years to grasp the basics of 3d making and i still think i've got tons of things to learn if i'd like to improve.
I've personally found 3Ds Max as way more user friendly than Blender and much more powerful than GMax, but i don't have experience with any other software than these three.

Regarding the reconstruction of 3-views, i don't know if i understood correctly what you mean and i may very well misunderstood, but i've done sort of a proof-of-concept trying to "shape" up the Lockheed ATB starting from pictures of the model available on this site, in order to get approximately correct 3-views for it. Honestly i don't think that CAD software can be of much help in this process: while it can validate how correct or not the blueprints you're working with may be, it works mostly the other way around (from 3-views to 3d model).

Well, in the meanwhile here are some renderings of one of my favourite aircrafts.

Regards.

And now for a classic, the P.1121.

Regards.

P.S.
As always, suggestions for underrepresented aircrafts are welcome.

If it gives that impression, then it means that i got the look i was aiming for ;) Thank you!

During the weekend i fell for the charming lines of three racers that, unfortunately, never were.

The first one, the CAPRA RR.20:
