Need to find a new home for this unique 15 volume, lifetime archive of rocket and missile history and tech info. Approximately four feet of shelf space and more than 100 lbs.
Compiled by award-winning German aeronautic historian (and former Luftwaffe Press Officer) Alfred Kruger. 15 massive Leitz binders, full of hundreds of original and copy photos, factory brochures, and catalogues, drawings and views, military archives, document research from MANY countries.
All aspects of rocket and missile history and tech, with lots of original glossy photos of various types, along with land, vehicle, shipboard, aircraft, launch vehicles, hand-held, and machines. Along with Kruger's analysis and notes and correspondence with many other Rocket and missile companies, archives, people, military records, proposals, etc., etc.
Incredible! $1,200. plus shipping.

You may want to post a few pics of what kind of stuff is inside, if you want someone to pay $1200 for it.

I've paid more for less (better days, much better days). But I'd be *incredibly* hesitant to spend this kind of money based on nothing more than exterior photos of binders. There is no way to determine whether there is *anything* good in there.

A few dozen photos could show it to be a freakin' goldmine, though. Just impossible to tell with the current data.

Sorry..I assumed that anyone who was seriously interested in such an archive would PM or email me with questions for more info. It is fairly impossible to show what might interest a Particular person out of several hundred original photos, very old proof photos, hundreds of technical charts and archival documents and original company brochures, & catalogues & manuals etc. But here are some sample photos. As to pricing, I believe it is something of a "bargain" to get 40 years of organnized research, Original photos and documents, of all nations, in a somewhat organized archive, by a professional, award-winning historian. Not uncommon for SINGLE mauals and catalogues to sell for $250 or even more, from the many rare aircraft catalogues & manuals I have bought & sold over the past 40 years. Sold a fair amount for over $1000 EACH. (usually WWI or earlier)I admit it is somewhat diffuicult to "sell" such an item, when only possible to show a fraction of a percent of it. Have had and have a great amount of original and unique, aeronautical archival material over the years. Should really go to a museum, but most are struggling just to survive, let alone , purchase new acquisitions..I'll post several small, random selections, full of images from this grouping. Did not want to annoy people with a large amount.. but here goes:

I have 45 of these lower-res, random samples, scanned, and hesitate to post them all, as I do not want to impose such a large offering on the list. But if requested, and no objections, would post all 45..

Lots of original 8 x 10 glossies, and Numerous glassine envelopes with piles of Old original photos. Asking price is probably well less than JUST the value of the photos, alone. Many reports on proposed missiles & rockets, countless three-views & scale dwgs, along with original company (and military) catalogues & reports, throughout. The ones that look gray and fuzzy, are piles of Kruger's photos (many with is own copyright stamped on the back) are often groups of old proof photos in yellowed glassine envelopes, in various sections of the binders.
Want to see more?

That is much more interesting , thanks for the photos. Unless 100 people donate $12 each to the forum, I can't see myself buying it personally.

I should think that some aviation museums might be interested, and to them it would represent but a very tiny fraction of their costs. Preserving such a crucial volume of military history is priceless!!
