Interesting 2D vector nozzle with stealth shaping.

An engine equipped with a two-dimensional thrust vectoring nozzle on display at the Zhuhai Aviation Exhibition. It looks like the shape is different from WS-10, but is it a reduced mock-up of improved WS-10, or is it WS-19? (video via wb/@aircraft_aircraft)

Rough translation:
MD-22 is a reusable, near space hypersonic technology wide-range test aircraft.
1. Dimension: 10.8m (length) × 4.5m (width) × 1.6m (height), not including landing gear
2. Weight: 1 ton (normal), 4 tons (max takeoff)
3. Load factor: Around 15%
4. Purpose: Usage for a series of technical verifications and in-situ scientific experiments in near space for the plane to and from the sky.
5. Able to combine the usage of different propulsion systems onboard
6. Speed of operation: Mach 0 - Mach 7
7. Able to take off by itself or launched using rocket booster.
8. Max range: 8000 km
9. Has the ability to implement 6g stable disk overload maneuvering flight under moderate and extreme conditions.

All four engines in this booth are FWS-10, three small of than are scaled models.
You can find that the characteristics of the engine casing are almost identical :)

Will the new engines with the thrust vectoring find their way onto the J-10 and the J-20? Both fighters could do with getting the new engines installed.

Said piece was focusing on on a particular indoor exhibit, which is a computer simulation, called the 'Future Operation Concept' showing the J-20 and other hardware being displayed at the airshow in action as part of an invasion force attacking a 'unnamed mountainous island', i.e. Taiwan. One thing the reporter and her crew seemingly overlooked in their report was a bit in the simulation where what appears to be a carrier based PLANAF J-11BH launches a ASAT against a spy satellite, which is destroyed.

This kind of display just tells the audience "we have, we can", The actual installed can't be speculated.

Especially in this exhibition, two vector modes are exhibited at the same time. Which one to choose can be said to be a mystery.

Years ago,The test platform of axisymmetric vector nozzle has two schemes(601 J-11,611 J-10), and we finally chose the J-10(become J-10B TVC). Now it has also reached the watershed of two different schemes.

According to some papers many years ago, the two-dimensional vector nozzle may be the ultimate goal, but considering the technical development for many years, this can only provide a reference.

A pair of air-launched hypersonic missiles carried under the wings of a Xi’an H-6K bomber were at the show, which opened Tuesday and runs through Nov. 13.

The mock-ups carried the stenciling “2PZD-21.” Chinese media outlets have referred to them as air-launched versions of the YJ-21 anti-ship hypersonic missile carried onboard China’s Type 055 cruisers.

China’s state media showed a test-launch of the YJ-21 from onboard a cruiser in April. The air-launched version differs from its ship-launched counterpart in that it lacks the booster section needed to accelerate the missile during its shipboard vertical launch sequence.

The newly unveiled HJ-20 and HJ-50 ATGMs, displayed here as a single model because their exterior designs are identical, differing in only range and payload size. The HJ-20 has a maximum range of 25km, and HJ-50 has a maximum range of 50km. Both are image-guided, over-the-horizon ATGMs, and both use broadband wireless datalink to communicate with the operator. Both feature lock-on and forget, but with man-in-the-loop mode. Due to their very long attacking range, they rely on other assets such as drones and forward observers to provide them with approximate positions of targets. Once fired, the missile beams back a video feed to the operator, who then locks on to target. The operator may then choose to walk away after the lock-on, or he may choose to re-insert himself and re-take control of the missile and guide it to target. Both HJ-20 and HJ-50 are launched vertically from vehicles (Mengshi 4x4). They can also be used to attacked fixed targets such as enemy command posts, communication nodes, radar positions, etc.
