I want to purchase an old non-serviceable Piper Cub-like airplane to display in my yard. Any ideas?...

I imagine wood-and-fabric planes like that might not last terribly well as lawn ornaments. Wind, rain, hail, sun, horrible neighborhood brats, etc will all take their toll.

You're right of course. If I'm lucky enough to get an old plane for my yard I would cover it during the bad weather times and uncover during the fair weather times. It's just a dream of mine to have an airplane sitting in my yard. Talk about a conversation piece!

Of course, what we all *really* want is something like this...
