Hi,

a strangest aircraft in the world,was displayed here in
this patent for Hiller;

Looks like the same idea as the Shorts PD.17 VTOL lifting platform.
If yiu cannot take of vertically with your aircraft, you'll just use a
heli to lift it up ...
Ok, used operationally, htis simple idea my look different ... ;D

Yes my dear Jemiba,

the United Aircraft Corporation helicopter project was
also very strange.

Strange, yes, at least for our eyes y. But I think, today we are just
used to see only ... quite boring designs ! ;)
If you see this UAC helicopter with the eyes of the '50s, it's just a bigger
version of the helicopter, which was shown as a model by the belgian
engineer Florine in 1947.
(from Aero 4/1956)
