But as you addressed me directly, you deserve a direct answer, I think.
Posts with a political content are a frequent occurrence, and if they are related to procurement of aircraft or military equipment, there may even be a reason to accept them.
Purely political themes are strongly discouraged (forum rules, point 3) and hijacking an existing thread doesn’t make them more acceptable. Demanding that such posts should be moved to a newly created specific thread honestly sounds a bit impudent to me …

The people in the West have a rather different view of things. Right or wrong, this is their place. It would be though less awkward had it not coincided with the media restrictions coming into force in this country. Really interesting to see the stressed implication of the defenceless of the place but by God this is going to be a discussion, among so many other things, in Turkish.

This thread is a great example of Turkish navel-gazing that makes them believe that no foreigner can ever understand their situation.
As soon as their founding father died, the Turkish state was ruled by an inept elite (Kemalist, secular) that oppressed the majority of Turks (Anatolian and religious) and large minorities (Kurds). It led to two groups rising to challenge the elite and defend themselves: 1. FETO 2. PKK
The first acquired power through cynical use of democratic rights and freedoms and infiltrated the state apparatus. It lost the battle in July 2016 and is on its way out.
The second went the armed resistance route and after decades of battle and an attempt to behead the organization in '99 failed. A political peace solution was attempted that started to bear fruit until the Syrian conflict breathed new life into the PKK and they found a protector in the form of the biggest superpower.
With other words, if you are a multi-ethnic and/or multi-religious society, don't ever oppress the minorities. Otherwise you'll find yourself in civilwar-like quagmire that lasts half a century with almost no end in sight.

@Antonio @Jemiba I can respect your opinions and surely respect keeping things "purely technical" but my own opinion is that whenever someone tries to bring awareness to others about what's really going on in their part of the world, there's a special switch turning on inside the heads of people from the EU and US, that makes them interfere and makes them believe as if only they themselves know better about that specific topic than the people who live in that environment.
It's just that, be it a commercial project or military one; all of these projects we keep discussing about in this forum are existing become of those politics and this makes it an inherent part of these topics.
I agree that we can't let people spoil these treads with endless political content but when something as tragic as a terrorist attack happens at the heart of that project, I think it should at least be mentioned, if not discussed.

No foreigner can understand our situation when those who claim to understand us offer propaganda instead. To very people who don't believe a single word of it. It is those failures in the 1920s and 30s that eventually leads all those pages of some new weapon from Turkey, 5 each every week.

The forum is open to everyone and members come from every corner of the World.
Politics is a subject specifically discouraged for obvious reasons. Diverse cultural backgrounds and biases deserve to be left outside because we simply pretend to share information. Some neutral/inhibition etiquette is required. Otherwise, our unavoidable differences will ruin the experience.
Pointing at a discrimination to Turkish is not quite fair. For instance, just take a look at the constant hijacking of threads with Ukrainian news. In the past, we also suffered off topic and personal attacks influenced by the US or Argentine elections. The moderation actions on that situations has been always the same.

About the attack, I've been reading about it from the press, like I do with most of my interests which aren't related to the forum's focus.

Oh, they should understand yours, too. In case there was a reading comprehension issue, if tomorrow some random guy was to go there (and start the prep work for the co-production of a 6th generation American fighter jet) of those 15 000 people attacked today this way or that way, quite a number would say nothing except "What will l do?" Those who would resign in disgust because the attackers were long fed, trained, supported and by the US in the nascent Nation State affair in Syria, would be by a possibility 99,99%, supporters of the parties in power. They won't number that much and they will easily be replaced by those who would quit the private sector if there was a place for them.
This country is not for the assimilation of Muslim Brotherhood, however great their suffering might be at the hands of certain powers in the Middle East. If you have any other particular candidates and/or favourites to remove us and drive us back to Central Asia, l can write equally poetic promises in their name as well.

As the country is too big to fail, a package has been arranged. Meaning any and all foreign purchases for a while are likely to be "all-American" because funding. This has been a "public debate" of sorts for quite a while. The said random person is known to have complained about Americans uttering a number, reportedly in triple digits. Meaning instead of complaining about political blabbering, stay in technical discussion yourself. And avoid "Americans did this" and "Americans did that" ... Work harder if you don't want American stuff. Come and complain here openly if anybody tries to slow you down.
