The “Laurentide” is a model airplane built by an 18 year old aspiring engineer in Bols de Boulogne Montreal, Canada.
The model of the “Laurentide” had a wingspan of 96 cm and a length of 81.5 cm. The high-lift flaps recede slowly when lowering possible up to 60 degrees. The ailerons also work. The cockpit is fully equipped The fuselage is articulated and gives access has a hold 45 cm long by 5 in section. At its aft part, the fuselage is equipped with a large ventral keel (which can be released in the event of a belly landing). An electrical installation supplies the position lamps, the landing lights, the cabin and hold lighting. The connection system is accessible behind the radome. The conventional type landing gear assembly has ten wheels. The front leg folds forward. The main landing gear is housed in the fuselage and shock absorbers complete the assembly.
