#3 looks like the Hiller 1067. #1 reminds me of a Canadair Dynavert variant.

Enjoy the Day! Mark

Yes my dear Mark,

Likely a student project. Seems rather recent and I am not aware of any medium sized requirements it would match. Unless someone knows different I am sticking with graduate project.

I don't remember the source,

what was this ?.

Hello Hesham,
Do you have a complete copy of the article by Darrol Stinton? If you have I would very much like to see a copy.
Thanks
Colin

Hello Hesham,
Thanks for the reply, I already have a copy of Stinton's Design of the Aeroplane book mentioned in your link. The article I was referring to was the one mentioned in your reply #17. I have tried searching for -Air Force 1/1988- and various combinations of that with no luck so far.
Thanks
Colin

Also I can't ID those ?.

I suspect the first two are Sikorsky projects as they appear (in order) to look at telescoping rotors, and main rotor interfacing with side mounted ducted fans. Third picture I would postulate as potentially being a Bell effort as they have done some level of work with stop-fold rotor concepts. Not sure if any other organizations have looked that technology.

From, Американские самолеты вертикального взлета,

I don't know if this was just a generic design or what ?.

That resembles some of the tilt-rotor attack designs I've seen at Bell, but I wouldn't swear as to whether that was an actual design or not.

That looks a variation on Custer's Channel-Wing.

Likely an operationalized XV-15 (room in the nose for avionics and possibly a weather radar).

From American Aviation 1966,

I can't ID this tilt-wing VTOL project ?.
