Valery Menitsky died today.

Menitsky Valery Evgenevich was born on February 8, 1944,

1965 - graduated from the Tambov Military Flight School
1969 - graduated from the LII Test Pilots School
1975 - graduated from the Moscow Aviation Institute.

Since 1969, test pilot in the Mikoyan design bureau.
1984-1995, chief-pilot of the Mikoyan design bureau.
1995 - deputy chief designer of the Mikoyan design bureau.

Menitsky has tested MiG-27, MiG -25PD, MiG -29M, took part in the test programs of MiG-21,-23,-25,-27,-29,-31 and 105.11 Spiral testbed aircrafts.

Since 1995, Deputy of The State Duma, Chairman of the board of Atlant-Soyuz Airlines, adviser to the Moscow major.

Hero of Soviet Union (1982), Big Gold medal of FAI, the winner of the Lenin premium, the winner of the International "Pilot of the year" premium. Menitsky was warded with the state and government awards. The author of the "My heaven life" autobiography.
