Ahhh! The dream of new power sources. Cold fusion, nuclear isomers to name 2 that might be realisable in practice. Very relevant to flight and infinitely prefereably to portable fission reactors.

There seems to be a continuous bubbling of little snippets of information on cold fusion - the problem seems to be the long cycle for confirmed peer review given restricted funding for what is deemed 'weird science' by many.

Only a couple of days back I was reading a heap of papers on excess helium detection during electrolysis of deuterium - which turned out to be 'cold fusion' by any other name!

One day this dream may well become reality....
Cheers
Fred
