Hi,

in 1939,and for the Circular Proposal CP 40-620 or Specification XC-147,which intended for
Rotary Wing Aircraft Prototype to be evaluated by Army Air Corps,many tenders submitted
to this contest,only four reached to final stage;

- Sikorsky VS.311
- Platte-LePage PL-3
- Kellett XR-2 & XR-3
- Pitcairn PA-37 (maybe)

The early concept scale model of the PL-3, was not the same design as what was submitted for the competition.
The PL-3 design that was submitted, was pretty close to the XR-1.

That magazine likes to use my photos and information without attribution, they had to print "some corrections" and attributions a couple of years ago...

Thank you Platt-LePage,

and please can you show us the drawing for PL-3 Proposal for this tender ?.
