Unknown Project Model

I saw this in the Solent Sky Museum in Southampton UK. It appears to possibly be a wind tunnel model of a rotorcraft and was grouped with Saunders Roe SR-177 models. Docents there did not know its history. Judjing by the large front windscreens it would have been fairly small.

Fairey Gyrodyne?

Shot I took of it some 15 years ago... consensus at the time was it was a Gyrodyne... its companion was a little harder to identify...

Thanks Guys - clearly a Gyrodyne. I did not see the other model on display there at Solent Sky.

From Flightglobal 1948,

the early drawing or imagine to what will be Fairey Gyrodyne,please note the slender wing and
narrow tail fins position,can we change the title ?.
