The short term program for intermediate missiles is the army's Medium Range Capabiliy. This seems to basically be bolting SM-6 and BGM-109s onto a trailor with no modifications to the missiles themselves, with fielding supposedly in 2023 when PrSM is also deployed. Hopefully the more long term solution is something based on DARPA's OpFIRES.
