Redundancy, increased safety margin, combat manoeuvring, battle damage recovery.. With over 1 million flight hours clocked on TB2 platforms, they are in a good position to deem it a good idea to have that capability over the other drone developers.

Looks like they’re at the rapid testing phase with the TB3; four days in a row of taking off and landing on the TCG Anadolu LHD, even doing takeoffs from a land base and landing on the ship.
Would be awesome if they could also whip up some cargo pods that can carry up to 100 kg each pod, supplying goods, spares from land to sea, bet it would be a lot cheaper to operate then choppas

At TEKNOFEST, TEI’s Mahmut Faruk Akşit shared updates on Turkey’s aviation motor projects:

TF6000 and TF10000 Turbofan Engines:
  • The TF6000, designed for Anka-3, is in maturation testing and has surpassed the power of imported motors used in ANKA-3 prototypes.
  • TEI has shifted focus to the TF10000, an afterburner-equipped version of TF6000, as Kızılelma’s third prototype requires it for supersonic capabilities.
  • Flight tests could involve either Kızılelma or Anka-3, depending on platform manufacturers’ decisions. Over 100 tests have been conducted with TF6000, with the first prototype disassembled for analysis and testing continuing with the second prototype engine.
