AeroFile Publications has just published its latest work, "Thunderbolt & Lightning -- The History of Aeronautical Namesakes".
While not totally concerned with unbuilt projects, as is "Clipped Wings -- The History of Aborted Aircraft Projects", it does contain info on the XP-59 Chain Lightning, J7W Shinden, J4M Senden and J5N Tenrai, which do fall into this subject.
