The voice of Optimus Prime, Peter Cullen, has died

For those of us who grew up watching Transformers in the 1980's we had to suffer the somewhat traumatic death of Optimus Prime in the movie (hardcore for a 6 yr old!). Unfortunately, now the man himself has departed.

I had always wondered since I was young who did the voice of Optimus Prime in the Transformers, as a side note I used to collect the toys too. RIP Peter Cullen.

What a horrible week. I think of all of them this one hits me the most personally being as he was the voice of Optimus Prime that is one of the voices of my childhood right there.
