One of the longest known lostwave tracks, while clearly a live recording of some kind, where/when/whom is unknown. It was attributed to the Australian group 'Dead Can Dance' but several members have gone on record saying it's not them. The other title for this is 'Oceania'.

Definitions....

An 'Outfake' is where a track is claimed to be by a well known band, but the actual performer is someone else, in the case of the song below it was falsely credited to the band Metallica, it's also 'Lostwave' because the actual performers are unknown.

The song below is 'Lostwave' as the performers are unknown. While it sounds a bit like the band Linkin Park, it's not an 'Outfake' because as far as is known there was no attempt made to claim the track was by Linkin Park.

Violin Concerto No. 3, Op. 58 (The most conventional of the composers three Violin concerti, this one started life as a single movement piece, but violinist Joseph Joachim persuaded Bruch to expand it to a full concerto. It's also the most obscure of the three, I've seen concert notes that deny it's existence.)

Repo Man theme song by Iggy Pop. I first saw it at a film festival soon after its first release and there was a fault with the sound system in the theatre so that there were loud cracks and buzzes breaking into the soundtrack for the first few minutes. They actually added to the atmosphere and my friends and I thought that it was deliberate. Roger Ebert wrote that any film that had Harry Dean Stanton in it couldn't be wholly bad. This may not be everyone's cup of tea, earl grey, hot, but as an historical snapshot, it's perfect.
