It has such a strong 80's French tech-wank vibe... perfect soundtrack for adverts related to Minitel, Ariane, TGV, Hermes spaceplane, nuclear power, Citroen CX... ROTFL

More dramatic: same author, same anime(s): Oméga

In "once uppon a time life" they use that music as background in one of the few tragic episode. The one where the little girl immune system runs amok and nearly kill her, and her elder brother volunteer for a bone marrow transplant and save her. A very heart-wrenching episode.

20:29 usually the guy is either combative or cheerful. There he just sounds resigned...

Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rain...

My parent have this masterpiece as a vinyl since before I was born. I remember worrying for the burning man as a kid and my elder sister telling me "relax, it is just a Mannequin"

Actually it's not a mannequin, I read the account of the people who did the work on the album cover, it took two stuntmen and four different attempt's to get the right 'he's getting burned' shot...

Glad you both liked that video, I stumbled across an even more powerful video using that song, but due to the imagry used you need to log into Youtube to view it. Interestingly the maker of this film made a real effort to link the imagry on screen to the music being played.

I often think - Ben come back to his Alfa Romeo coupé parked on the side of the road; sold it for some thousands dollars, and with Elaine they used the money to start a brand new life. They lived happy forever after and to this day, 52 years later, they are still laughing their hearts off about what Ben did that day.

This has just blown my mind. The kind of outrageous, silly, idea - but also "pretext for aircraft porn".

Why did nobody thought about it before ? RAF & Army air corp versus LW notzi DRAGONS.

I kid you not. Must be a consequence of Game of thrones and the blond angry girl frying the ennemy armies from the air.

In the words of Donkey in Shrek

Donkey: All right. Nobody move. I got a dragon here, and I'm not afraid to use it.

I would say Spitfires with their 20 mm guns and explosive shells would have an edge over the Mustangs and their stupid tiny machine guns.

And if the goddam dragoons resist, then bring B-25H with the 75 mm gun in the nose - or the Mosquito with the 57 mm Mollins gun.

Dope is good for script writers, those days !

I had that damn whistling tune stuck in my mind for years without knowing the title (I knew it was to be Morricone and Western and Leone but didn't knew which one !)

It is so perfect... the vision of a poor guy with a stetson hat, dusty and dirty and badly beaten by the harsh sun of the West; riding on a mule going veeeeery slooowly across a barren land... and the guy whistle that tune, again and again, to spent time...

Pretty much anything from Hans Zimmer (especially the "Time", "Chappie" and "Lost but Won" score's). as well as some of the stuff by the French band "M83."
