In the mid-1980s, CITEFA designed a 155mm... L.45 long range artillery piece in order to supplement —and eventually replace— the 155-mm L 33 Argentine Model 1977 gun in service with the Argentine Army. Jane's Defense weekly reported its maximum range as 39 kilometers (with base-bleed ammunition, Although Wikipedia claims that 20 were in service, the actual figure is much smaller-four pieces, according to several contacts, and only one according to others.
