I'm taking advantage of the fact that Scaled Composites has just added a brand new page to its online portfolio on the Teledyne Ryan TRA 324 Scarab, with never seen before production photographs to start this topic, since there was none on the subject so far. It can be found here:
https://www.scaled.com/portfolio/scarab/

Just as a reminder, Scaled built the first 29 examples, a first for the company, who hadn't done a full production run before.
30 more examples were later built by Teledyne Ryan, for a total of 59, most of which were never even uncrated by Egypt, the sole customer of the type.
Perhaps our member hesham could provide us with some first-hand information about this since it's his country, after all.

Of course, you can find more images and background on my STARGAZER website:
http://stargazer2006.online.fr/unmanned/pages/scarab.htm

... as well as a second, less-known page on the NDIA (National Defense Industrial Association)'s Scarab-LACM land-attack cruise missile proposal:
http://stargazer2006.online.fr/unmanned/pages/scarab2.htm

There's also a page on the TRA 350 Peregrine, a derivative which was ordered by the U.S. Navy as the BQM-145A but later cancelled.

I'm attaching two pics from the Scaled portfolio and a selection of other Scarab images I have on my HD, some from the SDASM's Teledyne Ryan archive.

Thank you my dear Skyblazer,

and I will search about more Info, and it was essentially built for Navy.

A few errors in the article, such as the fact as they were/are operated by the Egyptian Navy as Hesham has pointed out, not the EAF. From what I've been able to discover, the Navy bought them primarily to provide targeting data for shore launched anti-ship missile batteries (some of which are actually operated by Army units under Navy control).
