Teledyne Ryan disk-shaped vehicle with annular nozzle

Found in the Ryan collection at the SDASM, a Ryan study for a disk-shaped vehicle.

Don't know if would have been a drone or a re-entry vehicle, so if anyone can shed some light on this, please say so and I'll move the topic to the proper section.
