I believe that Secret Projects is the FIRST place on the web where pics of roll-out event (yes, these are screenshots) appeared ever - because flateric wakes up 6 AM this morning.
Oh, I must admit, that Vala from AviaForum.Ru actually holds the first place, placing shots on 5.05 GMT. Mines were uploaded on 5.10 - but, meantime, I won a lot of 8 GDFW/MDC A-12 photos from 1990 at eBay and have ended a cigarette.
Seriously talking, I feel really proud of the event, I like this airplane. I hope that at least something good will happen with our civil aviation, and there will be much more than current 73 orders.
Livery from Sergey Pirozhkov's AstraRossa think, can be less sparky and copmlicated IMHO, especially I didn't like nose area. Contract for new livery was inspired by Mr.Pirozhkov's friend, Minister of Economics and Trade German Gref (ex- already) who said that initial SuperJet livery is 'not so good as 787 one'. Pirozhkov worked for Citroen from 1994 (Xsantia X2 interior, C5, C3 Lumiere concept, C3 Air, C6 Lignage, C4 Volcane, Xsara restyling and then, from 2000, in Toyota european design center (Yaris, Auris, Corolla, Avensis, MTRC and UUV concepts) and created this stuff as well http://www.carbodydesign.com/archive/2006/04/27-russo-baltique-impression/. Contract for new livery cost in words of SCA was 100-150 kilobucks, Pirozhkov now wants to make interior for Sukhoy SSBJ and...new Roskosmos Soyuz...

First SuperJet 100 flight will not happen this year (OK, but we have launched R-29RM Sineva and RS-24 today, what makes a rather strange Christmas present to the world).
No one ever expected this, though. Flight postponed till 'February or spring 2008'. Said that it's due to the problems with the postponed start of Sm-146 engine flight tests.
SuperJet 100 first flight, initially re-scheduled from the end of 2007 to a mid of February, postponed till April or even summer, according to insiders from KnAAPO. Some say that fatigue tests 'article' in TzAGI has shown much worse results than expected, far away from what have been predicted. When making a copy-cat of 787 roll-out ceremony, Sukhoi Civil Jets executives would expect that following events would repeat Dreamliner program's ones.
Attached caricature was posted by someone involved on avia-forum.ru...at least we still have a sense of humor still..
'SuperJet did fly
And fell to the swamp
We do exactly the same job
As pay-roll that we have'
As part of the first flight campaign preparation, today Komsomolsk-on-Amur witnessed the first taxiing and run tests of the Sukhoi Superjet 100.
The run tests featured a gradual speed increase up to 162 km per hour, which is close to the real speed of the nose landing gear take-off. The results of these tests have been highly estimated by the SSJ100 pilots and test engineers.
Alexander Yablontsev, Chief Test Pilot of Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company, said, “This aircraft is remarkable. It’s pleasant to see how smoothly it goes. The Sukhoi Superjet 100 is easy to control and very good in ergonomics. This new aircraft I piloted for the first time is every bit as good as Airbus and Boeing’s planes. Mr. Yablontsev enjoys 8,300 flight hours pickaback, having piloted both Russian and international aircraft (incl. Boeing-737, A319 and A320).
Today’s taxiing and runs are an integral part of the preparation to the flight test campaign. The current testing is performed in Komsomolsk-based Flight Test Center, which has already conducted a successful series of ground tests of the main systems of the aircraft with the running engines. Prior to the first flight, the Sukhoi Superjet 100 is to undergo the shimmy tests and high-speed runs with the lift-off of the nose landing gear.
One-hour SuperJet 100 maiden flight was performed today approximately at 09.00 MSK according to always well-informed grOOmi at http://www.sukhoi.ru/ Another source informed that bird has engines startup problems in two hours preceeding the flight. SCAC didn't invite mass media for an event. More news soon I suppose.
Well, congratulations to SCAC and KnAAPO! Inspite of the delay the Superjet actually seems to be progressing nicely by recent standards - and, more to the point, it has beaten the ARJ-21 into the air.
"Yesterday flight tests began for new Sukhoi SuperJet 100 at Komsomols-on-Amur
During take-off, engine throttle was broken, and there was no way to stop SaM-146s from the maximum regime.
At the present moment, new airliner is starting docking operations with the International Space Station"
Russia's Superjet 100 plane makes first long-haul test flight
01/04/2009 16:42
MOSCOW, April 1 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Superjet 100 medium-haul airliner completed its first long-distance test flight on Wednesday. (Sukhoi SuperJet-100 medium-haul airliners - Image Gallery)
The plane took off from Novosibirsk in southwest Siberia and landed at an airfield near Moscow, covering a distance of more than 3,000 kilometers (1,864 miles). Another Superjet 100 landed about an hour later.
The flight was scheduled for Tuesday, but was delayed due to foggy weather conditions.
The Superjet 100 project is a family of medium-haul passenger aircraft developed by Russia's Sukhoi Civil Aircraft company in cooperation with U.S. and European aviation corporations, including Boeing, Snecma, Thales, Messier Dowty, Liebherr Aerospace and Honeywell.
Sukhoi's head said the plane would carry its first passengers in early 2010.
"We are hoping to complete the plane's certification to international standards in November 2009. At the start of next year, a Superjet 100 will take its first passengers on board," Mikhail Pogosyan said.
Sukhoi said last month it would deliver its first Superjet 100 airliner to the country's flagship carrier Aeroflot in December. A total of 30 airplanes are to be supplied to Aeroflot.
The plane manufacturer earlier said the first Superjet 100 aircraft had made 40 short-distance test flights, clocking a total of 100 hours, and that a total of four planes would take part in the certification program, which should be completed in the third quarter of 2009.
Sukhoi earlier said there were at least 100 orders for the aircraft.
Sukhoi, part of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), plans to manufacture at least 700 Superjet 100s, and intends to sell 35% of them to North America, 25% to Europe, 10% to Latin America, and 7% to Russia and China.
At approach and landing, first SSJ 100 was excorted by both Su-35 currently being tested at LII. Second SSJ 100 ('white') has arrived one hour later.
The question of the day is, who is going to buy it?
Armavia - the launch customer is in the big financial troubles. Even their home airport Jerevan/Zvartnoc refused to support company untill their debt will be paid.
Aeroflot RIA - continuously claiming that the real performace of the plane is much worser than promoted and is willing to buy the planes only if the promises are fulfiled.
AirUnion - they postponed the purchase already in 2008 because of the financial troubles.
Malév - because of the world economy crisis it didnt transfer the pre-order into the fix order last year.
So it seems, that currently there is not any serious customer available.

Looks like the list has expanded,
Kartika Airlines, Orient Thai Airlines, Interjet, Lao Central Airlines, Sky Aviation, Blue Panorama, Aviotech, Tajik Air, Comlux, Kyrgyzstan Airlines
With the new EASA certification the list should grow.
A Russian Sukhoi Superjet 100 passenger plane with 46 people aboard has gone missing on a demonstration flight in Indonesia, reports say.
The plane disappeared from radar screens during a flight from Jakarta meant to last 30 minutes, a blogger with the Sukhoi delegation said.
A helicopter was dispatched to look for the jet, thought to have been flying near a mountain, Sergey Dolya said.
Emergency services confirmed a Sukhoi plane was missing.
The plane, which took off at 07:00 GMT, is believed to have had about four hours' fuel aboard, the BBC's Karishma Vaswani reports from Jakarta.
Gagah Prakoso, spokesman for Indonesia's national search and rescue agency, said 46 people had been aboard the plane, which vanished from radar near Bogor, a city in West Java province.
