The model photo shows the military version of the SA.350,which would have had a
heeled landing gear, the civil version was proposed with skids.
Larger version for 36 and up to 50 passengers were planned.

The next step would have been version with retractable, or stowable rotors:

Wow! Jemiba...great work.

The company should be Sud Aviation, or Aerospatiale?

Raravia

The company still was Sud Aviation, as it became SNIAS / Aerospatiale not before
1970 after the merger with Nord Aviation.
Difficult, who merged with who, and after it all those great sounding names were gone !

Interesting :

Patent of the SUD Rotojet project :

Dear Boys and Girls, here is a small feature in French on the Sud Aviation SA-350 Rotojet compound helicopter which remained a "project". It is part of a larger article charting progress of Sud Aviation helicopter programmes at Marignane......

The article comes from the 1st January 1967 issue of Aviation Magazine International......

Dear Boys and Girls, here is an extensive article in French on the Sud Aviation SA-350 Rotojet compound helicopter "project" and the ongoing development of Sud Aviation helicopters in general. The article describes and illustrates the operation of the “Rotojet” system which is a kind of helicopter/autogyro hybrid. The article also describes Sud Aviation‘s plans to develop their existing range of helicopters, such as the SA-330 Puma, by fitting their Fenestron shrouded tail-rotor in place of a conventional tail-rotor. Plans to develop compound versions for higher speed are illustrated. This would be achieved by developing the Fenestron further by adding a pusher propeller behind the tail-fin and fitting wings to off-load the rotor……

I believe the illustrated Super-Alouette III project was developed as the original single-engined SA-360 Dauphin. I do not know if the SA-330 Puma or the SA-321 Super Frelon were ever fitted or tested with Fenestron tail-rotors……

The article comes from the 15th November 1968 issue of Aviation Magazine International......

Dear Boys and Girls, here is a contemporary Sud Aviation advertisement in French announcing the development of a 50 seater "Rotojet". The advertisement makes reference to the SNCASO Sud Ouest SO-1310 Farfadet (leprechaun) gyroplane of 1953.....

The advertisement comes from the 1st October 1965 issue of Aviation Magazine International......

Dear Boys and Girls, here is an article in French about the ultimate expression of Sud Aviation's Rotojet concept; a project for a high-speed heavy transport/airliner helicopter with a stoppable rotor which would be stowed in a compartment along the top of the fuselage......

The article comes from the 15th May 1968 issue of Aviation Magazine International......

Nice. Very reminiscent of Lockheed's CL-945 CARR and Sikorsky's similar proposal.
