Hi there, finally I got the book directly from Moscow and reading it over a week now. It is really a dense book, thick, 625 pages and heavy. Interesting and funny story how the T-10 became T-10S, describing word for word Mr. Simonov`s fight with those "backward thinkers" O. Samojlovich and E. Ivanov at OKB Sukhoi. Sending some pictures from the book, definitely a book worth the money.

...for those who doesnt know, this is the second part(last) of the book "Istrebitel Su-27 nachalo istorii"

Oh my God, I really need to buy both volumes!!!. My copy of Andrei Fomin's Su-27 looks like a simple introduction compared with that.

I've got a copy of this book in Russian. No English version was ever released, so I've been using machine translation to read. Not perfect, but good enough to get the gist of things.

It's an amazingly detailed account of the development of the production Su-27 (T-10S) and later versions, combined with the page first book (Su-27 Fighter: Beginning of Story) on the T-10 it makes 975 pages of immensely detailed account of the development of the Su-27. Its has a much more nuanced version of the story than the Simonov version, where the visionary outsider came in and made a silk purse from a sow's ear.

I wish this would be published in English, hopefully Yefim Gordon bought a copy and brings the most interesting stuff into his new edition of the Su-27 Famous Russian Fighters.
