That was what I was thinking Dilandu, but the closest that we got to an actual stealthy F-14 was the A/FX that Lockheed proposed back in the 1990s but was sadly scrapped in favour of the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet.

When you decide variable-geometry wings just aren’t expensive enough…
Lockheed was pretty sure that the only way to get a supersonic stealthy aircraft to meet carrier landing requirements was VG wings. Their NATF proposal was an F-22 with VG wings, and their A/F-X proposal had VG wings as well.

I would not be surprised if the F/A-XX had VG wings!
 
Re. swing-wings and stealth I'd think it would be optimized for when the wings are back as that's when you'd probably need it the most.
It was for the B-1, but I'm not so sure about the FAXX. At least not fully swept.

I suspect that a VG-FAXX will spend a lot more flight time with the wings at an intermediate sweep. IIRC the Tomcat spent most of the time with the wings around 35-45deg sweep instead of at full 68deg sweep.

Though if you can get adequate flight performance with wings at not-exactly-45deg sweep, it may be easier all around to design the aircraft for that sweep and figure out stealthy high-lift devices on the leading edges.
 
I don't know how well it would work, but it is attractive:
It is pretty, but I don't think "the real thing" would have a curved leading edge at the wing shoulder above the inlets. A curve reflects radar in a wide area, a straight line only reflects along a single angle.

IMO it should have a double delta like the shape of the F-22's inlet-to-wing section. Maybe half the sweep of the wing when fully swept (~108deg), then a short angle at tailplane sweep connecting the fuselage to the wing sections.
 
IMHO, a 'jacked' wing similar to the F8 would be better than a swing wing all day long. The leading edges would be better managed and the inlets/boundry better too.

Of couse, I could be saying this while standing.

I just learned about this feature on the crusader. Variable-Incidence wings are sick!
