Dear Boys and Girls, here is an article in French about the Société des Avions Marcel Bloch MB.480 Combat Reconnaissance Seaplane prototypes. They were based on the Bloch MB.131 bomber; the Bloch MB.480 was the Société des Avions Marcel Bloch's entrant in an Aéronavale competition MP/CPT-9 for a "Hydravion Éclaireur de Combat"; a seaplane torpedo/bomber and reconnaissance aircraft. The requirement was abandoned in favour of land based types. Other entrants for the same competition were:-

Lioré & Olivier LeO H-46 (prototype). qv http://www.secretprojects.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,8589.msg76378.html#msg76378
Loire-Nieuport (SNCAO) LN.10 (prototype). qv http://www.secretprojects.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,12674.msg124862.html#msg124862
Amiot 170 (project).
Farman (SNCAC) NC-410 (prototype). qv http://www.secretprojects.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,8652.msg76971.html#msg76971

The article comes from the 15th November 1968 issue of Aviation Magazine International (the tail-fin in the 3-view profile has been cropped by the layout artist in error)......

Hello,
you can find more details about the Bloch 480 in Avions 174 issue (March/April 2010), with pretty color profiles from Pierre Tilley, including the version with cropped tails.
