Apparently the Russian navy drawn up and considering modernizing the last units of the Slava class Guided Missile Cruisers (Project 1164 Atlant) (Marshal Ustinov and Varyag)
The project number associated with it seem to be Project 1164M and would include entirely new weapon systems and even a Railgun!

Seems like they could afford one or two per fleet. But not practical to do on a larger scale. That would give them one active at a time while rotating with one in for refitting. Would there be any real benefit to the fleet?
