Heres one that bears more than a passing resemblance to a very well known 70s sf film, even down to the color palette used in the poster.

I do like the laser gun firing "jawas" and "lord buckethead" [yes, thats actually his name, tho I think he looks more like a space ned kelly],oh and the 3 eyed "death star"
I thought this was turkish star wars at first glance, but apparently it was a us production, and in 3D!.

Task Force Games is a company most well known for their 'off brand' Star Trek game 'Star Fleet Battles' but they also produced 'Starfire' a board game that re-emerged in the 1990s when authors David Weber and Steve White wrote a series of novels for Baen Books using the universe created for 'Starfire' as the setting.

Task Force Games had a house magazine called 'Nexus' the attached image is one done by artist/author William H. Keith for an article supporting 'Starfire' .

Any idea who did the poster art?

If we're doing game stuff then we have to have this . . .

The iconic box top artwork to the BattleTech 2nd edition game, by Alan Gutierrez.
The same image was used for the 3rd edition, but as a result of the copyright problems that later beset FASA Corp., the 4th and subsequent editions used different artwork.

cheers,
Robin.

A parody of 'Battletech' created for the spoof RPG 'Macho Women With Guns' the artist responsible was Richard Menustik

Sadly no,I`ve looked online but I wasnt able to find anything.
I have my doubts that its actually the brothers hildebrandt tho,but whoever did it certainly did a great job imitating the look, style and even colors of the original Star Wars poster.
Now if only the actual Gremloids/Hyperspace movie was anywhere near as good as the poster art suggests.;)

I recognized two of the main cast as comedians, so I looked it up on a lark. It was, in fact, a Star Wars parody which explains the unabashed similarities. I have never heard of this, and I'm sure it wouldn't match Mel's Space Balls, but it might be amusing in it's own right.

Gremloids (in UK) aka Hyperspace (in US)
is low cost 3d-movie who persiflage Star Wars

German trailer is somewhat hysterical

This is a fine resource.

The cover for the 14th issue of 'Ares' magazine, the first issued after TSR purchased SPI. By Timothy Truman it illustrates the issues board game, the post-apocalyptic 'The Omega War' which drew from 1920s and 1930s pulps for some of it's inspiration, though the ultimate start point was of course, the American Revolution.

Woman of the Future - 1973 illustration by Frank Frazetta for Dow Chemical.
If the woman is dressed, the cartoonist is not Frazetta

-This guy is going to kidnap me... What do I do?

-Tell her you have a headache
;)

Frank Frazetta doing a Richard Corben?
That monster/troll/ape man is giving me a real richard corben vibe.

I dearly hope to live to see the day when any so-called science fiction spacecraft "designers" get back to first engineering principles, like where any pressurized vehicle elements such as propellant tanks or crew compartments are spherical or cylindrical components.

I sometimes think that this would be a good model. The restaurant even rotates like a centrifuge. Just add some fuel tanks and hang some radiators.
