I love the Demoiselle. Ever since I saw Those Magnificent Men and their Flying Machines. And it might be nigh on time to start thinking about a nice little scratch build of one in 1/48, or even better, 1/32. But then, 1/24 or 2 would allow something else to be added, a car, for a flying field diorama.

Dear colleagues, haven't somebody any reliable data about the production volume of Santos-Dumont 20 Demoiselle and it's modifications? I can see about 90 aircraft, mentioned in press.

But there was wrote in the Brazilian book: "Atitudes “olímpicas” do inventor aeronáutico mais louvado do século XX deu origem ao primeiro avião classificado como “esportivo” do mundo, denominado de “Demoiselle” (“Libélula”), lançado em 1909, após anos de testes e aperfeiçoamentos. Dos 20 modelos de aeronaves concebidos por Santos-Dumont, este foi o de maior penetração internacional com 300 reproduções em vários países europeus e nos Estados Unidos".

And no links to any source of this actimation.

300 aircraft!!! Could you please, comment, this huge amount?
