Given the sheer number of tenders, research papers and patents coming out of China hinting towards such an aircraft, and the fact that the likelihood of this project actually existing has become fairly strong (3/5), it's probably time we had a dedicated news & discussion thread for it (y'know, instead of posting about it in the Y-20 thread!)...

A tender announcement for the production line of aircraft components ("Tender Announcement for the Ultra-Large Aluminum Alloy Wing Metal Structural Parts Intelligent Flexible Production Line No. 2"), claimed to be for the very large strategic airlifter, i.e., Sino-C-5M or Y-XX, published by Xi'an AC.
