Hi. Recently when I was browsing the internet in search of other pictures of the Ralph Chapman helicopter, I came across another interesting intermeshing helicopter. For the time being I could not find any more information on this helicopter other than those posted on the successor web page and its facebook page.
Actually those pages cover in total 6 rotorcraft of Mr Charles Rupert Jones (Rupert Jones seems to be the surname) from Brasil. According to facebook post, he was a son of English immigrants who came to Brazil due to the World War I then ongoing.
Apart from what I present below, I cannot find anything more so far. Hope you can complement these data with additional information.
His rotary-wing constructions were as follows:
R-2: A single-seat intermeshing helicopter powered by V2 Harley Davidson engine. Built in 1946.

R-3: Modification to R-2, visible is different engine (flat four), shortened main rotor shafts above top support bearings and some cabin roof added. Also built in 1946.

R-4: A classic layout single-seat helicopter powered by C-65 engine (I guess it means Continental A65 model). Built in 1951.

R-6: A Bensen B-7 gyroglider built by Mr Rupert Jones in 1959

R-7: Gyroglider. Looks similar to R-6 but it is claimed to be designed and built by Mr Rupert Jones in 1971.

R-9: An autogyro powered by Volkswagen 1600 cc engine, built in 1972.

The said successor is Rupert Aeronaves company, which was formed in 1983 and seems to be run by Mr Charles’ son - Riley Rupert Jones. Their recent products are Vimana R-12 and VimanaSteel aircraft - quite a catchy name if you are into UFOs and ancient antigravity devices
