Rocket-assisted projectiles with ramjet engines designed by A. Lippish (Germany)

Should point out that Lippish was trying to jump into already-moving train. Development of ramjet shells for German artillery was performed by Wolf Trommsdorff since at least 1936.

Several series of ramjet-powered shells of Trommsdorff designs were designed and tested, mainly in context of using them on long-range railroad guns. There were both solid-fueled and liquid-fueled shells. Tests were made from 1942 to 1945, but results were inconclusive.

After war, Trommsdorff was invited to work in USSR. The experimental model of his 280-mm shell (planned for K5 gun) was build and tested in supersonic wind tunnel, but the results were so disappointing, that the project was terminated soon.

Tanks Dilandu.I know that Trommsdorff was a precursor in the matter but beyond to think that Lippisch was interessed in the subject him which excelled in another field it is staggering, apparently there are many things that we do not know about his work in Vienna.
