Hi everyone,
I'm currently researching the RAF's F-4J Phantom for a historical suggestion and bug reports on the War Thunder forums. My goal is to gather enough reliable evidence to accurately document the aircraft's weapon compatibility and countermeasure configuration so that historically supported changes can hopefully be implemented in the game.
I've already collected a tiny amount of information, but there are still several areas where I'm struggling to find definitive evidence. I was hoping some of the knowledgeable members here might be able to point me towards additional sources.
I'm particularly looking for evidence relating to:
★★★★★ Official RAF or Ministry of Defense manuals, Technical Orders, AP publications, manufacturer documentation, McDonnell Douglas or British Aerospace documents, or other military documentation.
★★★★☆ Government publications, recognized aviation books, museum archives, or reputable historical publications.
★★★☆☆ Multiple independent photographs clearly showing the aircraft carrying the equipment or fitted with the relevant hardware.
Even partial information would be extremely helpful. For example, a photograph showing a missile installation, a page from a manual confirming compatibility, or documentation covering the countermeasure system could all help build a stronger historical case.
